Mizzou Graduate School Website Redesign
Goals
Over the years, the website of the Graduate School at the University of Missouri-Columbia had lost consistency of visual design, editorial tone, and organizational structure. As web designer and editor for the office, I:
- Spearheaded the move to a standards-based, tableless design (see an entry about my campus-wide web standards efforts)
- Designed and implemented information architecture, graphic design, XHTML/CSS, usability testing, and content editing of the Fall 2007 redesign.
Deliverables
- Global navigation: competitive analysis (.rtf) for the Association of American Universities graduate school websites
- Results of a closed card sort (.rtf) for our proposed global navigation categories
- Content inventory for the redesign (.xls) (based on Jeffrey Veen’s inventory examples)
